Queen Street Apartments

A new-build 9-storey apartment development on a brownfield site in the centre of Leicester, which made use of pre-cast concrete structural panels to reduce time on site.

Brought in as construction architects by Pettifer Construction our brief was to complete the design from a concept by others.

The development provided 88 1-bed studios and gallery duplex rental apartments for single occupancy or couples. The project formed the second phase of a 3-phase masterplan to redevelop a former textiles factory site in the St George's Regeneration Area, and sat next to the historically important Rowley building, which had previously been converted to apartments under phase 1.

The developer was so pleased with our contribution that we were also commissioned to design the final phase of the development.
