Synergy Architects transformed part of London's iconic County Hall into a flagship meeting, conference and events space for Etc Venues, a leading provider of non-residential venues.
The grade II* listed building on London's South Bank was opened in 1922, and a wealth of original features - including extensive parquet flooring - were uncovered, carefully renovated and showcased as part of the completed design.
The centre, which opened in 2017, occupies an unrivalled position on the fourth floor with breathtaking views across Westminster Bridge to the Houses of Parliament. It provides 43,000 square feet of conference and meeting space, offering an event capacity of 900.
Synergy's expertise enabled the development to achieve a challenging BREEAM Very Good rating and the venue won Best Conference Centre at the Stella International Awards.
