University of Warwick
The university’s Institute of Education is located in 2 separate 1960s buildings on their Westwood campus. Arrival points and circulation within both buildings were obscure and failed to meet current accessibility standards. These problems were solved by the addition of lobbied entrances, stairs, lifts and link corridors to each building as part of a major refurbishment. A matching pallet of materials provides a visual reference linking both buildings. The new external circular lift tower faces the campus entrance and provides a new landmark for the university site.
