Glebe Farm School starts on site
Posted on 26 Feb 2021
A major new school for Milton Keynes Council reached a significant milestone when the project broke ground on the 22nd of February.
Glebe Farm School is a new 'all-through' school and nursery for Milton Keynes Council, being procured through the Pagabo framework, that will be home to 1569 children aged from 3 to 16. The school - which will provide of nearly 11,000m2 of state-of-the-art accommodation, including a new community sports hub, all under one roof - is seen as a flagship project by the council and will be their first single-site all-through school. It will also be a showcase of innovation and sustainability for future schools in Milton Keynes, with a host of features including thermally-efficient structure and renewable energy generation, that have been designed to meet the council's zero-carbon targets.
Synergy architects were selected as lead designer by the council and their development partner, Morgan Sindall, for this important project as a result of our track record in Milton Keynes working to budget to deliver outstanding schools and our client-focussed approach.
We are delighted to be a part of the team for this forward-looking project and can't wait to see the building develop ahead of its planned opening in September 2022.
