Rob Gibbs (Director)

Rob has been with the practice from ‘day one’ and a director since 2002, during which time his design skills have been appreciated by many clients.

Rob has wide-ranging experience in the hotel and conference sector, as well as education, leisure, workplace, and industrial projects, with particular skills in leading multi-discipline teams on complex new-build and refurbishment schemes, both large and small.
He has also worked extensively in the healthcare sector, and has managed long-term and framework commissions with a number of NHS trusts.

Rob is the longest serving member of the management team and is the company’s Finance Director.

Richard Jones (Director)

Richard enjoys working closely with clients to understand their needs and aspirations, and believes this is critical to the success of any project.

He joined the practice in 1999 and has broad experience across a range of sectors and project types, with stakeholders benefiting from his rigorous, professional approach. The design of education environments is a specialism and Richard leads our highly regarded school projects team.

Richard has been a director since 2012 and is chair of the management team. His responsibilities also include developing the company’s policies and procedures, to drive improvement in the service we offer to clients.

Duncan Beard (Director)

Duncan joined the practice in 1999 having previously worked for a national property and construction company.

Formally qualified as both an architect and a technician, Duncan combines both art and technology-based philosophies within his work. He has a wealth of experience across a range of sectors and often receives praise for his in-depth technical knowledge and attention to detail.
Duncan became a director in 2012 and acts as the company’s ‘Operations Director’. He leads our ground-breaking US-based projects and his management responsibilities include ensuring we have the right technology systems in place to support and improve the services we offer.

David Briggs (Senior Associate Director)

David’s attention to detail and technical expertise are skills that often receive praise from clients and have ensured the successful delivery of several challenging and complex projects, including the £45 million renovation of the flagship Grand Hotel in Birmingham.

David joined the practice in 2005 and has been responsible for projects across a wide range of sectors, bringing significant knowledge and experience to all work stages.

He believes in a collaborative and proactive approach, and brings the same conscientious commitment to all projects.

He was appointed Associate Director in 2013, with promotion to Senior Associate Director following in 2021.

Helen Moore (Associate Director)

Helen joined the practice in 2016 and quickly demonstrated her abilities, being promoted to Associate Director in June 2017. With extensive experience as a qualified architect, she has a wealth of knowledge in a range of sectors including hotel and leisure, education and training, workplace and logistics.

Helen prides herself on her professional approach and enjoys working with clients to understand and achieve their objectives with imaginative and pragmatic solutions.

Her range of skills include master-planning, leading consultant teams and contract management. Helen has also played a leading role in developing the practice’s Building Information Modelling (BIM) design coordination capabilities.

James Limbourne (Associate Director)

James is an award-winning architect with a keen interest in designing buildings that respond positively to their site and context, through the careful selection of materials and site-specific forms.
He joined the practice in 2019 and quickly established himself as a key client contact, leading our team in delivering specialist training and higher education centres across the UK. His skills and leadership led to his promotion to Associate Director in 2022.

James has a broad range of experience, working throughout the UK, on projects spanning from multi-million-pound projects to bespoke high-end residential work, including education, training, and leisure.
